KMB - Nathan Road Shuttle

Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) launched the 'Nathan Road Shuttle' campaign on 2 May 1999. A special character, called 'Captain KMB' , was created to represent Routes B1, 1, 2, 6, 6A and 9, those carry passengers to Nathan Road. These are major Kowloon urban routes of KMB, and they all terminate at Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Piers. All the routes are charged less than $5, buses and bus stops were specially decorated for easy recognition.

Routes B1 and 203 form another special service called 'Nathan Shopper'. AM94 (EV 8783) is seen serving Route B1, the only 'Captain KMB' route using single-deckers. (1999/10/03)

The bus serving Route 1 is Leyland 11-metre Olympian S3BL10 (DK 8472). The bus is seen about to finish the journey for Chuk Yuen Estate. (1999/06/26)

Among the 6 routes, Route 2 is the only one having schedular Dennis Tridents. This ATR68 (HY1033) is an example. The bus was temporary out of service when the photo was taken. (1999/06/26)
